The School of Engineering seeks to make the appointment of an Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering, to complement the existing staff in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. This specific purpose role is subject to the substantive post-holder taking up a College Officership and is for the duration of their term in this College Officership. This appointment will help deliver our 5-year integrated Civil Engineering MAI degree and our MSc in Structural Engineering. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including (but not limited to) the teaching of Structural Engineering, as well as being expected to seek research funding actively as an independent investigator and to undertake postgraduate research supervision.
Post Status Specific Purpose
This specific purpose role is subject to the substantive post-holder taking up a College Officership and is for the duration of their term in this College Officership. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return to their substantive post at the end of the secondment.
