A Car Mechanic is required to work at RCS Garage Ltd, based in Cluain Fraoigh Retail Park, Lanesborough Road, Roscommon. Two positions are available. The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. Duties will include visual checks, test drives, and using test equipment to diagnose engine and mechanical faults; removing, dismantling, repairing, and replacing defective parts; reassembling, testing, adjusting, and tuning systems or entire engines; performing routine maintenance on oil and air filters, brakes, and other vehicle parts/systems; diagnosing faults in electrical/electronic circuitry, removing faulty components, and fitting replacements; checking the condition of electrical/electronic systems and carrying out servicing tasks. Additional responsibilities include maintaining braking and suspension systems, ensuring compliance with warranty contracts, performing minor vehicle repairs, and providing customer follow-up services.
