We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Care Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-run business. This is a rewarding opportunity to support elderly clients with their daily needs, helping them live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes.
What You Will Be Doing:
Personal Care – Supporting clients with bathing, washing, dressing, and toileting
Health & Medication – Managing daily medication schedules, keeping accurate records, taking vital signs, and supporting rehabilitation exercises
Meals & Nutrition – Preparing healthy meals and helping clients stay well-hydrated
Home Care – Light housekeeping, dishes, and fresh bedsheets to keep the home safe and comfortable
Mobility Support – Helping clients move safely, use mobility aids, and enjoy gentle walks
Companionship – Chatting, playing games, and accompanying clients to appointments
What We Are Looking For:
Empathy – Genuine care and the ability to build real trust with clients
Communication – Clear, patient explanations and good listening, including reading non-verbal cues
Patience & Flexibility – Staying calm when routines change or a client is having a difficult day
Observational Skills – Noticing small changes that could signal a health concern, and knowing when to flag it
Physical Stamina – Comfortable with the physical demands of lifting, transferring, and assisting clients throughout the day
