Care Worker- Ref: 19452 Location: Stillorgan, Co.Dublin Permanent Full-Time Contract (39 Hours) Salary : €34,630.85 per annum Job Purpose: To promote the development of independent living skills, and to assist service users in their daily living within a supported in a day service, ensuring their safety and well – being at all times. Minimum Education & Experience required: Third level graduate, Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable. Minimum requirement of Fetac Level 5 in social care or related discipline. Minimum 2 years previous experience of working with people with a disability. A full clean driving licence . Experience of working with service users in a community environment Experience of providing appropriate supports to service users with relevant disability Job Duties & Responsibilities Promote and actively get involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user. Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users. Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times.
