Carnehill Joinery Ltd is an Irish company specialising in the manufacture, supply and installation of joinery and fitted-furniture solutions for residential, commercial and public-sector projects. The company is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to set up, operate and monitor CNC machinery used in the manufacture of kitchen and bedroom furniture. The role involves producing high-quality components in line with technical drawings, production schedules, quality standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up, programme, and operate HOMAG CNC machines for the production of kitchen and bedroom furniture components. Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM files, work orders, and production specifications. Select the appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining programmes for each production run. Perform routing, drilling, grooving, cutting, and edge preparation operations to precise specifications. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure product quality and dimensional accuracy. Inspect finished components using measuring equipment and quality control procedures. Replace cutting tools and carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Identify and report machine faults, tooling issues, or production defects to the supervisor. Minimize material waste while maintaining production efficiency. Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Work collaboratively with production, design, and assembly teams to meet manufacturing targets. Required Skills Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a kitchen, bedroom, or bespoke furniture manufacturing environment. Good understanding of woodworking and panel processing techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, production schedules, and machining specifications. Experience setting up CNC programmes and selecting appropriate tooling. Ability to use precision measuring instruments to verify component accuracy. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to health and safety. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years' experience with HOMAG WoodWOP software or similar CNC programming software. Previous experience in the manufacture of fitted kitchens, wardrobes, or bedroom furniture. Forklift license or other relevant manufacturing certifications would be an advantage.
