About the Farm
Liam Walsh operates a dairy farm focused on livestock management and animal care. We are seeking a reliable Dairy Farm Assistant to support daily farm operations and animal handling.
Main Responsibilities
Weigh and measure feed, feed livestock, and monitor animals for signs of illness. Clean barns, sheds, pens, and animal housing areas, ensuring hygienic conditions.
Assist with milking operations and sterilisation of milking equipment.
Treat minor animal ailments and assist veterinary professionals when required.
Move and handle livestock safely and assist during calving and rearing of young animals.
Carry out maintenance of fences, sheds, and animal enclosures.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 2 years’ experience in livestock, dairy farming, or a similar role involving animal care.
Basic knowledge of animal handling and welfare.
Ability to work safely with livestock.
Good physical condition and willingness to work outdoors.
Reliable and able to work independently.
Must be available to work 39 hours per week.
