We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Driver. This role is centred around collections for our afterschool service. Our dedicated drivers help bring learners safely from schools to our afterschool service each day, creating a safe and caring environment on every journey.
Driving Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect children safely from local schools in our company people carriers and - transport them to our afterschool services.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting as needed to traffic or school changes.
- Help children safely enter and exit the vehicle, ensuring seat belts and safety protocols are always followed.
- Maintain clear and friendly communication with the Afterschool team regarding arrival times or any delays.
- Build positive relationships with children, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere during journeys.
Hours
- School collections: Monday to Friday, 12:45 pm – 3:15 pm.
- Opportunity for additional hours in other roles.
Requirements
- Clean, valid driving licence.
- Full no-claims bonus.
- Be at least 25 years of age.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Previous professional driving experience is an advantage.
- Friendly and approachable, especially with children.
- Garda Vetting.
