Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a genuinely varied fractional role with real ownership? We are a group of three established, privately owned businesses — a growing residential care company in Ireland and two incoming tour operators serving Britain and Ireland — and we are bringing our finance function under one person for the first time. The role. You will take full ownership of the finance function across the three businesses: producing monthly management accounts within ten working days of month-end, preparing annual budgets, maintaining rolling cashflow forecasts, and delivering meaningful KPIs to management and boards. You will oversee the day-to-day accounts function in each business, lead the move to bring all bookkeeping, payroll and accounting fully in-house, and mentor and develop our capable internal finance staff. What makes it interesting. Three distinct businesses, one finance function. You will design multi-site cost centre reporting for a fast-growing care business, streamline processes in a tour-operating environment (Xero, Hubdoc, Tourplan, FileMaker Pro), and shape a scalable finance function from the ground up — with the autonomy of a senior role and the flexibility of a fractional one. About you. You are a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with strong hands-on SME experience, ideally across multiple entities or in a portfolio capacity. You have a proven record of delivering management accounts, budgets and forecasts to deadline, strong Xero skills, a process-improvement mindset, and a genuine interest in developing people. The commitment. Approximately ten days per month, flexing around the month-end cycle rather than fixed weekly days — ideal alongside other fractional engagements.
