General Operative Construction
The successful candidate should be practical, punctual, willing to learn and comfortable working as part of a team in a busy construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
General labouring duties on construction sites
Assisting tradespeople and site management as required
Site setup, cleanup and maintaining a tidy working area
Moving, loading and unloading materials
Assisting with demolition, groundworks and basic construction tasks
Helping with deliveries and storage of materials
Supporting scaffolding, temporary works and site protection where required
Following site health and safety procedures at all times
Wearing and maintaining appropriate PPE
Reporting any hazards, issues or defects to the site manager
Requirements
Previous construction site experience preferred but not essential
Good attitude and willingness to work
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Safe Pass preferred
Manual Handling preferred
Own transport beneficial but not essential
