Little Sisters of the Poor Ireland are seeking Healthcare assistants, who will provide first hand care, comfort and safety vulnerable patients. The Role of a Healthcare Assistant : assisting residents with personal care and mobility, to include feeding and washing patients, monitoring their condition assisting residents with their daily tasks and practical needs Preparing and serving meals, and helping to feed the patients making beds providing companionship and emotional support promoting dignity ensuring residents safety performing detailed record keeping Requirements: · Qualifications for the role: The candidate will be QQI Level 5 Health Care Assistant Qualified or equivalent or be working towards same, or have a degree in one of the following: Degree in nursing Degree in Physiotherapy Degree in social work 6 months experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role involving direct patient / resident care is required Flexibility to work various shifts which may include days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and bank holidays good level of English both written and oral good knowledge of HIQA standards a caring and compassionate nature good communication and teamwork skills be reliable and trustworthy all compliance requirements, including Garda vetting and two references Annual salary starting at €32,691.00 Weekly basic hours: 39 Location: Little Sisters of the Poor, Holy Family Residence, Roebuck Road, Dublin 14 Please send your CV to: [apply via link]
