Role Overview Kevin Burke Tyres is seeking a full-time, permanent HGV Artic Driver to operate articulated heavy goods vehicles on multi-drop distribution routes. The role involves overnight stays away from base as dictated by route schedules and delivery requirements, and is central to the day-to-day movement of goods for the business. Key Responsibilities / Duties Operating an articulated HGV safely and to a high standard on multi-drop delivery routes. Completing routes that require overnight stays away from base. Safe loading, unloading, securing and checking of loads. Carrying out daily pre-use vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly. Complying at all times with EU Rules on Drivers' Hours, tachograph regulations and Working Time regulations for mobile road transport workers. Completing delivery documentation and obtaining proof of delivery. Maintaining the roadworthiness, cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle. Representing the company professionally with customers at delivery points. Essential Requirements Full, valid CE or C1E driving licence for articulated HGVs. Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Valid driver tachograph card. A clean, full driving record. Proven experience in multi-drop distribution driving. Availability and flexibility to complete routes requiring overnight stays away from base. Desirable Experience with distribution of industrial or automotive goods.
