Job Description:
We are seeking a highly analytical and qualified Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in Tralee. Operating within a busy automotive logistics environment, this data-driven role focuses entirely on optimizing international supply chain efficiency, monitoring multi-regional asset distribution metrics, reducing landing costs, and supporting strategic financial decision-making across procurement, freight forwarding, and component distribution functions.
As a dedicated corporate and administrative position, the core focus of this role is strictly high-level operational analysis, reporting, and coordination. The successful candidate will operate entirely within this analytical framework and will not hold any day-to-day workshop mechanics, retail floor sales, or retail customer management duties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Freight Contract Management: Analyze international shipping cost variations, monitor third-party logistics provider (3PL) KPIs, and lead data-backed negotiations for freight service contracts.
Inventory & Demand Tracking: Utilize operational software and historical patterns to track inventory levels, monitor parts demand, and optimize stock availability.
Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze high-value component turnover to maintain optimal safety stock parameters and minimize corporate asset overhead.
Route & Transit Analysis: Evaluate international vehicle transport routes, transit timelines, and customs clearance frameworks to maximize delivery efficiency.
Compliance & Documentation: Support complex customs compliance, import/export documentation processes, and international trade requirements for goods arriving from global hubs.
Cross-Department Reporting: Prepare operational business cases, financial cost-saving reviews, and shipping efficiency reports for senior management.
Minimum Candidate Requirements:
Education: A formal higher-education qualification, such as a Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Shipping, Logistics, or Business Administration.
Skills & Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping workflows, logistics KPIs, freight schedules, and operational supply chain analytics is required. On-the-job operational training regarding company-specific enterprise software systems will be provided.
