We are seeking a Mandarin Speaking Logistics Specialist to work closely with our manufacturing partners in China, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods to Europe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end shipment processes, liaising with overseas suppliers and freight partners, and ensuring timely, effective delivery while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.
Act as main contact with our Chinese supplier, communicating on a regular basis in relation to costs, shipping, documentation and invoicing.
Align production timelines with shipping schedules.
Managing time zone differences.
Experience with China ERP system and software
Handling any communication issues.
Manage transport mode (sea, air, rail).
Book shipments with freight forwarders, working with management in relation to pricing of containers and fuel changes.
Ensuring all export and import documentation are correct (bills of lading, certificates of origin, packing lists etc).
Support the customs clearance processes.
Ensuring compliance with EU import regulations.
Track orders from start to finish.
Follow up on any delays or material shortages.
Coordinate pre shipment inspections and flag any risks.
Provide updates to colleagues and management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
Experience:
4+ years of experience in logistics, or supply chain operations
Skills:
Must be fluent Mandarin or Cantonese (native)
Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers / manufacturers and Chinese logistics
Understanding of sea freight
Familiarity with global shipping practices and documentation
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills (especially Excel)
Salary: €36605 annually
