Meat Processing Operatives work as a member of the operations team in the factory and complete tasks assigned by their manager or supervisor. They will have significant responsibilities in various areas, including production, storage, cleaning, Health & Safety, and other duties as instructed by management. The job entails meeting challenging production targets. Moreover, working for extended periods in cold or chilled environments may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Undertake various tasks in the production area, including line operation, packing, cleaning, distribution, and more.
- Familiarize yourself with the daily production plan and work with the team to set up the line, conduct checks, and ensure materials are ready for use.
- Conduct all pre-start, hygiene, and safety checks as directed.
- Notify the Line Supervisor of any equipment breakages, damages, or defaults, and ensure machinery is only used when safe to do so.
- Record checks as instructed.
- Ensure that the product meets the highest standards and report any issues to the Line Supervisor immediately.
- Fully participate in all company training, asking questions and ensuring satisfaction with all aspects of the area and role.
