Key Responsibilities
Weld a range of materials and thicknesses from 3mm to 80mm
Manufacture components in line with production drawings and welding specifications
Ensure all work meets required quality standards prior to release to next production stage
Carry out visual inspection of welds to ensure compliance with standards
Immediately report any deviations or defects to the supervisor
Maintain accurate shift handover communication with Team Leader
Meet production targets and deadlines, working effectively under pressure
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the area
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Ability to read and interpret engineering/welding drawings
Strong understanding of welding standards and specifications
Competent in use of measuring instruments and inspection tools
Adherence to company and customer weld quality standards
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures
Complete all work in a safe and controlled manner
Ensure plant and equipment are maintained to high standards
Identify and report defects or non-conformances immediately
Physical & Operational Requirements
Handling steel components using equipment such as:
Hoists
Pallet trucks
Magnets
Loading/unloading welding jigs and components
Rotating parts in welding fixtures where required
Changing consumable welding parts as needed
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Good attendance, punctuality, and reliability
Ability to plan and organise workload to meet daily targets
