The Asphalt Supervisor oversees operations and directly supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in construction and related civil engineering tasks. The role ensures that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of road surfacing and civil engineering workers and/or subcontractors.
Manages and monitors work schedules to meet productivity requirements.
Oversees the setup and operation of machinery and equipment used in road surfacing, including pavers, rollers, and graders.
Liaises with managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve operational and technical challenges.
Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards across all activities.
Determines or recommends resource requirements, including staffing, materials, and equipment, to meet productivity and quality objectives.
Conducts inspections to ensure that work adheres to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
