CA Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Carpenter/Joiner on behalf of Irish Pallet Systems Limited, Ireland’s leading pallet manufacturer. The Role The successful candidate will manufacture, modify and repair wooden pallets, crates and specialist timber-packaging products. Applicants must be capable of working accurately from drawings, measurements and customer specifications. This is a skilled carpentry and joinery position. Main Duties Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and product specifications. Measure, mark, cut and shape timber accurately. Manufacture wooden pallets, crates, frames and bespoke timber-packaging products. Construct specialist timber products to specified dimensions and load requirements. Complete carpentry joints and securely assemble timber components. Modify and repair damaged pallets, crates and other wooden products. Select suitable timber, fixings and construction methods. Safely operate woodworking machinery, saws, pneumatic tools and other carpentry equipment. Inspect completed products for dimensions, strength, finish and quality. Identify material defects and rectify workmanship issues. Minimise timber waste and use materials efficiently. Maintain tools, machinery and a clean working area. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Candidate Requirements At least two years’ relevant professional experience as a carpenter, joiner or skilled timber-product manufacturer. Demonstrable experience measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber. Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings and specifications. Experience safely operating woodworking machinery and power tools. Good knowledge of timber construction methods and fixings. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
