Patrick Maher Limited is currently hiring HGV Mechanics for their site at Tinnock, Ballingarry, Thurles Co. Tipperary. The Heavy Plant Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of heavy plant and construction machinery. The role includes diagnosing mechanical faults, carrying out routine maintenance, replacing worn or damaged components, and ensuring machinery is safe and fit for use. The mechanic will work on equipment such as excavators, loaders, dumpers, telehandlers and other heavy plant machinery. They will also maintain accurate service records and follow all company health and safety procedures. Main Duties: • Inspect, service and repair heavy plant machinery. • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults. • Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing. • Replace and repair mechanical components. • Carry out basic hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis where required. • Test machinery following repairs to ensure it is safe and operational. • Maintain service and repair records. • Follow workplace health and safety requirements.
