Gaffney Mechanical Ltd requires multiple Welder roles for their premises at Setanta House, 2nd Floor, Goddamendy,, Ballycoolin Rd, Dublin 15, D15 FYX7. The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €54,000 (26.63/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications. Job Description - This role involves working in a state-of-the-art fabrication facility equipped with the latest machinery, fabricating packaged and modular plant rooms, mechanical services pipe, bracketry, pump skids, etc. The ideal candidate will have necessary qualifications, be competent in reading and interpreting drawings, and have experience as a fitter/welder. Responsibilities include TIG and MIG welding, working with PVC Plastic pipework, fitting gearboxes, flow meters, pumps, and performing basic milling and turning. Candidates must ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to, complete system testing and documentation, and work as part of a team. Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products. Ensure all required materials and tools are at your work station at the start of each day. Accurately complete job by time specified in the plan. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Complete system testing in the form of pipework pressure tests on completion of build or repair. Complete all test documentation and inspection and test plans (ITPs) as required. KEY REQUIREMENTS Required Qualifications - MIG and TIG welding qualifications required. Current Safe pass, manual handling cert and abrasive wheels certs. Ability to read schematics and BIM drawings. Ability to weld mild steel and stainless steel. Ability to weld structural steel components using MIG process. Ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
